After earning an Associate Degree in Fisheries Biology, David Johnson founded David Johnson’s Guide Service in 1993. For more than 33 years, he has guided anglers throughout Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, while dedicating countless hours throughout his career to fisheries restoration and fishing advocacy.
Three decades of experience have allowed David to refine his approach to every fishery. Whether targeting salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, walleye, or other Pacific Northwest species, each trip is carefully planned around seasonal conditions, fish behavior, and the techniques that consistently produce success.
David’s expertise has earned recognition throughout the outdoor industry. He has written dozens of published articles, been featured in many more, and appeared on numerous radio and television programs. His combination of hands-on guiding experience, fisheries education, and ongoing commitment to conservation has established him as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected fishing guides.
